The Zentrum Paul Klee boasts an extensive, scientifically structured archive with more than 250 scores and some 170 recordings of compositions that relate to the work of Paul Klee or have been inspired by it.

Although Paul Klee influenced the music of his contemporaries and their successors through his pictorial, written and essayistic work like no other artist before him, he often expressed the belief that music had had its heyday.
